Abstract

On the basis of the literature it has been revealed that excision of tumor with 1-2 cm margin of healthy tissue is primary treatment of choice. Simple mastectomy should be used only when breast conserving surgery can not obtain an adequate surgical margin or good cosmetic effect. There are indications to use neoadjuvant radiotherapy in patients suffering from borderline and malignant type of tumor phyllodes who have undergone a breast conserving therapy
