There was also mentioned the influence of metabolic disorder on the development of breast cancer, where ERs can be an indirect mediator. The knowledge of the influence of ERs on risk, development, sensivity to treatment and prognosis can be useful in development of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods in this disease in the future.
