Ocena wybranych czynników rokowniczych u chorych radykalnie napromienianych z powodu raka szyjki macicy w II i III stopniu zaawansowania klinicznego według FIGO

The aim of the present study was to evaluate of the selected prognostic factors in patients with cervical cancer with stage II and III according to FIGO scale. It was confirmed that the following factors had adverse effect on the prognosis in cervical cancer: the advanced stage of cancer, the presence of “bulky” feature, the lack of complete cancer regression after treatment, radiotherapy with the use of CO 60 rays vs. X9MeV, applying radiotherapy for more then 40 days, the total treatment time longer than 90 days, the hemoglobin level lower than 12 mg% and the age of patients under 50 years. It was not confirmed that the histopatological type and extension of waiting time for treatment above 1 month from diagnosis were clinically significant.
