We present analysis of literature data on toxicity of palliative radiotherapy to the chest area of patients with advanced non-small lung cancer. It has been shown, that the most common early toxicity in these patients is esophagitis; small or medium severity toxicity is in 9- 40 % of patients, severe in 1,9- 8,1 %. Frequently late, anyway rare toxicity, are broncho-esophageal fistulas and massive fibrosis of lung tissue.
